When i left school in 1976 i went full time as a Gamekeeper and worked as one for the next 18 years, both my father and brother worked as gamekeepers. Growing up and working in this environment gave me the love of wildlife and the countryside.
During my years of growing up and Gamekeepering my love of drawing became apparent. Then in 1994 i went self employed as an artist and taxidermist, specialising in Pet Portraits.
All my Portraits are drawn in a coloured chalk pastel from a photograph, the photograph needs to be clear and have a lot of detail, because eye colour and fur detail is what gives the subject its character.
The work can be framed or unframed as required, comes with a double mount and can be safely sent through the post.
You can see me working at some of the countryside shows , event dates available.
